Today, our band performs regularly at outdoor and indoor events and venues across Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania. After many years apart, we're having a lot of fun hanging out again and making music together. As a bonus, we've had the opportunity to do what we love in front of great audiences across the region.
DangerBird performs hard edged, tight covers of classic rock and blues. You know, the tunes you know and love, but don't hear every day. We do our best to mix up our tunes so you don't get the same genre and groove over and over again.
Check out our upcoming gigs and be sure to join us at a venue near you!
2018 is a busy year for the band.
DangerBird drummer, Jim Sturdevant, and guitarist, Laith Wardi-along with Buffalo's very own Earl Irving-will back up Chicago blues legend, Jimmy Burns, at Room 33 on April 21st. Jimmy will bring his musical mojo to Erie for one night. Expect to hear a lot of his originals along with some mainstay blues tunes. Tickets for this event are on sale now through Eventbrite. Room 33 is a cool new venue in Erie that consistently features great live music--locally and nationally. Check it out!
We are happy to announce we'll be appearing for the second time during Edinboro's Art and Music Festival. This time, we'll be appearing at the mainstay Edinboro Hotel Bar. It's our second time at this venue. The audience for the first gig was great.
DangerBird will again be headlining the The Erie Regional Chamber's Beer on the Bay. We'll play two three-hour sets for the 3,000 people that attend this great event. Our good friend, Steve Chapel, will add sax riffs throughout the day. We're pretty confident that one or two other musicians will show up and sit in during the day. Stay tuned for more information.
DangerBird is also confirmed for the North East Wine Fest again this year. Like Beer on the Bay, this is a fantastic regional event that is always fun to play.
We are also confirmed again for Mazza Wines, Warren's Music in the Park as well as The Kinzua Tango. We'll also be appearing at Girard's Music in the Park for the first time.

We are happy to announce the Ryan Ecklund, of Smack Dab fame, is handling bass duties for most of our 2018 gigs. We've played a lot of gigs with Ryan this year and he definitely brings an awesome funky bottom end to the band. Earl Irving, from Buffalo's Heavenly Chillbillies, is handling bass duties for some other gigs. Earl has a big personality. He and our drummer, Jim Sturdevant, have common history in Boston's music scene in the 90's. We are fortunate to play with both of these bass pros.
